DPS International, Gurgaon is a co-educational institution dedicated to providing the highest standards of international education. Our approach nurtures students to become well-rounded, responsible individuals equipped with diverse skills and the ability to critically analyse complex issues at local, national, and global levels. By embracing the International Baccalaureate curriculum, we instill in our students a deep appreciation for multiculturalism and universal values. This educational framework cultivates a commitment to pluralistic thinking and empowers students to drive meaningful and positive change in the world.
The curriculum offered for students in the Primary and Secondary School is based on the premise that the individual student is at the centre of all teaching and learning. It has been developed to incorporate an international perspective, which reflects developments in curriculum research from a range of different national and international sources. In keeping with our mission, we have a responsibility to ensure that students acquire skills and attitudes which will meet the needs of the 21st century.
As an International Baccalaureate® (IB) school, DPSI offers a continuum of Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, Diploma Programme and the Career-related Programme. These programmes encourage both personal and academic achievement, challenging students to excel in their studies and in their personal development.

Student Conduct & Well-being Expectations
At DPS International, we believe that discipline is closely connected to student well-being, responsibility, respect, and a strong sense of belonging. As an IB Continuum School, we encourage students to demonstrate integrity, empathy, resilience, and responsible behaviour in all aspects of school life. The observance of school rules and positive conduct is essential for maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all members of the community.
- Students are expected to behave respectfully, responsibly, and courteously at all times, both within and outside the school campus. Their conduct reflects the values and reputation of the school community. Students should greet teachers respectfully and demonstrate kindness and consideration towards peers, teachers, support staff, and all members of the school community.
- Any form of bullying, intimidation, discrimination, harassment, cyberbullying, use of abusive language, physical aggression, or behaviour that causes emotional or psychological harm to others will be treated seriously. DPSI is committed to fostering a safe environment where every student feels valued, respected, and included.
- Students are expected to wear the prescribed school uniform neatly and appropriately on all working days and school events, unless otherwise specified. Parents are requested to ensure that their ward comes to school well-groomed and in proper uniform. Responsibility for appropriate haircuts, grooming, and overall appearance rests with parents and students.
- Students in school uniform represent the values and reputation of DPS International both within and outside the school campus. They are expected to always display exemplary behaviour. Any incident of misconduct, indiscipline, or inappropriate behaviour reported outside school while students are in school uniform or representing the school will be treated seriously.
- Students should not wear jewellery to school, except for simple ear studs or small earrings in the case of girls with pierced ears. Expensive items such as smart watches, cameras, gaming devices, speakers, pen drives, or other valuables should not be brought to school unless specifically required for educational purposes. The school will not be responsible for the loss of personal belongings.
- Mobile phones and electronic devices are not permitted during school hours unless explicitly authorised for academic purposes. If a student is required to bring such a device, it must be deposited with the designated teacher or school office for the day. Misuse of electronic devices may result in confiscation and disciplinary action.
- Parents are encouraged to regularly check their child’s school bag to ensure that prohibited or unsafe items are not brought to school. Items such as sharp objects, blades, cutters, irritant sprays, vapes, crackers, tobacco products, intoxicants, or any other contraband substances are strictly prohibited on campus. Possession of such items may lead to serious disciplinary consequences, including suspension or expulsion.
- Students are expected to respect school property, the belongings of others, and the learning environment. Writing on walls, damaging furniture, tampering with educational resources, or misuse of school facilities is not permitted. Any accidental damage should be reported immediately to the teacher or school office. The cost of damage may be recovered from the responsible individual(s).
- Students must not tamper with any educational material, equipment, or resources kept in laboratories, classrooms, libraries, activity rooms, or any other learning spaces.
- Students must not write, scribble, damage, or deface any area of the school premises, including washrooms, walls, furniture, or display boards.
- Students must not display objectionable, indecent, inappropriate, or offensive gestures, language, images, or behaviour towards fellow students or any member of the school community.
- Students must not indulge in forgery, falsification of records, misuse of signatures, or any form of academic or personal dishonesty.
- Students must attend all classes, activities, assemblies, sports sessions, and scheduled school programmes unless excused by the school. Disrupting teaching and learning or intentionally disturbing others is not acceptable.
- Students who are below the legally permitted driving age are not allowed to drive to school. Certain government-permitted two-wheelers for students below 18 years of age may be allowed only if parents provide a written undertaking accepting full responsibility for their ward’s safety and compliance with traffic regulations. Students who have obtained a valid driving licence are also not permitted to bring cars to school.
- DPSI encourages students to build positive and respectful relationships across age groups. Senior students are expected to model care, empathy, and leadership towards younger students, while younger students are encouraged to demonstrate respect towards seniors.
- Students must not engage in inappropriate behaviour such as gambling, smoking, use of intoxicants, violence, vandalism, acts of moral misconduct, or association with banned or unlawful activities. Such actions are considered serious breaches of school expectations.
- Students are expected to maintain discipline while travelling on school transport. Unsafe or inappropriate behaviour on the school bus may result in withdrawal of transport privileges.
- Students are not permitted to leave the school campus with friends or other individuals without prior written authorisation from parents and approval from the school administration.
- Birthdays should be celebrated in a simple and inclusive manner. The school does not permit return gifts, birthday bumps, or large celebrations within the school premises.
- Parents are requested to maintain respectful communication regarding school matters. Concerns should be addressed directly with the appropriate school personnel in a constructive manner, as negative criticism in the presence of children can affect their respect for the school and learning environment.
- The school calendar is provided to help parents and students plan school-related commitments. All working days are considered compulsory school days. Internal events, functions, assessments, or other scheduled activities may be shifted or changed at short notice in special circumstances, at the discretion of the school management. Parents are requested not to seek NOCs for international travel during working school days.
- Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) may be scheduled on working Saturdays or during/after school hours on working days, as communicated by the school.
- The school reserves the right to take appropriate disciplinary action in cases of misconduct or repeated violation of school expectations. Depending on the nature and seriousness of the incident, actions may include counselling, parental meetings, withdrawal from activities, suspension, or expulsion.
This is not an exhaustive list. The school reserves the right to address any behaviour that may compromise the safety, dignity, well-being, or smooth functioning of the school community. Policies and procedures may be updated periodically in line with school requirements and government guidelines.
