World Scholar's Cup

DPS International Gurgaon recently hosted the World Scholar's Cup (WSC) on April 15-17, where around 800 students from over 20 schools in Delhi-NCR gathered to participate. The WSC is an academic competition that challenges students' knowledge, wit, and debating skills. It covers a wide range of topics, from history to science, economics to literature, and inspires students to think critically, creatively, and collaboratively.
This year's theme was 'Reconstructing the Past', and on the first day of the event, juniors participated in the Team Debate, Collaborative Writing, and Scholars Challenge. The second day featured the highly competitive Scholars Bowl, the Debate Showcase, and Scholars Show. The award distribution during the closing ceremony concluded the event.
DPS International Gurgaon is proud to have hosted the event and congratulates all the winners of the various categories. The qualified teams will progress to the Global Rounds and the Tournament of Champions at Yale. WSC celebrates learning and motivates students of all backgrounds and nationalities to discover new strengths and practice new skills
It was a pleasure to witness the enthusiasm and passion displayed by the young scholars who participated in the event. The competition was a perfect opportunity for them to showcase their intellectual abilities and engage in critical thinking and collaboration. Manicka Kumar from DPS International Gurgaon won first place in the Writing Champions category. The Champion Scholar in the seniors' category was Shashwat Joglekar from DPS International Gurgaon, while the Team Champion trophy was won by Anaisa Arora, Sayesha Poddar, and Ankkhel Kharbanda from Modern School Vasant Vihar.
