Graduation Day Ceremony

On the April 10, 2023, DPS International, Gurugram, held its annual graduation ceremony, marking the end of a successful academic year for its class of 2023. This was a momentous occasion for the graduating batch, the faculty and the proud parents and guardians.

 

The ceremony was held in the school auditorium and was attended enthusiastically by the graduating class, their families, and the teaching staff. The occasion saw the gracious presence of the chief guest, Dr Arunabh Singh, Director Nehru world School, the Head of School, Ms Rima Singh and the Secondary School Principal, Ms Seema Kaushal. The Pro Vice Chairperson, DPSI, Ms Devyani Jaipuria sent her blessings and wishes to the graduating class.

 

The evening began with the students marching into the auditorium in their graduation gowns and caps, amidst loud cheers from the audience. The stars of the evening were then felicitated for their academic and co-curricular achievements. There was also a poignant ceremony of citations, where the form tutors of the batch read out personalized messages of good wishes and blessings. They shared memories of some lighter moments from their day-to-day interactions with their students and also acknowledged their hard work and dedication. Students received a commemorative plaque on this occasion.

The Valedictorian, Avantika Chopra, in her moving and powerful speech highlighted the arduous journey the students have undertaken in their IB Diploma Program and congratulated her peers for reaching this significant milestone. On behalf of her class, she expressed gratitude to the school leadership, teaching faculty and all family members, present on this occasion, for their unwavering support.

 

Dr Arunabh Singh encouraged the students to reflect on their time as a school student and express gratitude to those who taught them to begin this journey – the teachers in their kindergarten and primary school years. He wished them success and hoped that the students will carry forward the experiences from their student life and bring a positive change in the world.

 

Ms Rima Singh congratulated the students on their achievements and encouraged them to strive for excellence in their future endeavours. She reminded them of the school values and ethos of fairness, inclusion, resilience and empathy, that will hold them in good stead as they navigate the next leg of their life’s journey.

 

Overall, the graduation ceremony at DPSI was a resounding success. It was a joyous occasion that brought together the entire school community together to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class.
