ilusxtrar

My Instagram page @ilusxtrar is a fusion of various types of
art. Personally, I like creating art depending on my state of
mind and therefore the variety. I started ilusxtrar to express
how I feel from time to time. The artworks aren’t restricted
to one medium, they keep alternating between digital and
paper. I like to use art as a technique to communicate and
mellow out. A lot of the pen work I do can be quite detailed
and that’s where I like to draw my feelings, the details help
represent my mind and its complexity.

My artworks are visibly imperfect. I like to use patterns and
shapes in a lot of my artworks. I wouldn’t say my style is
unique compared to other artists although they all have dif-
ferent intentions.

Ilusxtrar is now slowly transforming into a media design
page, this means it will have more digital and graphic aes-
thetics. Technology has definitely helped in my progress in
art and in discovering my strengths and weaknesses.

Let’s talk about our planet

Let’’s talk about our planet is a student initiative Instagram account created by two MYP 5 students. The ac-
count was created by us as a part of our Service As Action Project where we aimed at spreading awareness on
environmental issues and the need to find solutions to them. Today, we have nineteen posts and have created a
petition against the Faroe Islands’ illegal whaling activities. We decided to use social media as our platform as
the media is quite influential and in today’s world, is one of the best methods to raise awareness. Prior to writ-
ing our content, we do a significant amount of research and make sure our information is reliable. As someone
who is passionate about the environment and taking action, I found this to be a fun and motivating experience.
I would like to continue spreading awareness and take this account further.
