Econspire:
Exploring my
creative self!
Econspire 2021 @ DPS International was held on the
13th of November, 2021. This competition allowed stu-
dent to delve deep into inter-disciplinary topics and
showcase their subject-specific knowledge.
At Econography, participants wrote a research on the
title: ‘The effectiveness of an economic policy imple-
mented by a government in response to the COVID
pandemic’. The papers discussed socio-economic and
health impacts in countries such as India, US, UK and
Germany. One such paper highlighted the effect of Ger-
many’s $190 billion stimulus package on public debt,
public investment, output loss, unemployment, bank
capital and graphs to explore monetary and fiscal poli-
cy. Participants were also able to present their research
infront of Dr. Vivek Bambi with a PhD in Economics
from St Stephen’s College.
“I was able to hone critical skills such as negotiation,
conflict resolution, and cooperation,” says Varchasva
Sharma.
