Aspiring Artists
I really wanted to create a piece of art that has emotion
behind it and something that depicts an issue close to
my heart. Gender inequality is something I have ob-
served in a countless number of places, and I believe
that even though hundreds are speaking out against
it and are doing their best to contribute to a progres-
sive society, it was important for me to play a part in
this movement. Women being suppressed with their
thoughts and ideologies is something humanity has
been witnessing for an incredibly long time now. It is
something that is very socially regressive. Feminism is
an ideology that is very popular and has gained quite
a bit of traction in the past years, yet it is an issue that
has not been solved. Our society still faces discrimi-
nation against women, they are still silenced, and they
are still not given equal opportunities. Feminism is
not women overpowering men as many think it is. It
is about equality, about giving women the same rights,
about not living in a completely patriarchal society. As
a community we have progressed rapidly in all aspects,
