Independence day
DPSI commemorated India’s 78th Independence Day with a special assembly
celebrating the nation’s rich history and the enduring value of integrity. The
event featured moving performances that reflected patriotism and ethical
conviction. A highlight was a powerful play by MYP students portraying
Bhagat Singh, whose unwavering integrity and moral courage inspired his fight
for justice.
Students also performed “Yeh Desh Hai Mera,” filling the hall with pride and
unity. The flag unfurling ceremony was conducted with solemn respect,
accompanied by the national anthem sung sincerely by the school community.
In a gesture of international friendship, a Korean student performed the South
Korean national anthem to honor South Korea’s Liberation Day, symbolizing
DPSI’s commitment to cultural integrity and mutual respect.
The assembly not only celebrated freedom, but also reinforced the core values
—honesty, courage, and responsibility—that define a just and principled
society.
