share content that makes people
aware of the decline of folk art.
They began by informing them
about folk art and its significance.
The students elaborated on how
folk art is diminishing with the
emergence of modern art and our
inclination towards modernization.
Subsequently, sharing about the
initiatives done by students to
conserve the value of folk art. It
continued by an engaging quiz
where students had to identify
various types of folk art. Once this
segment was over, the students
introduced the guest speaker –
Ms. Japani Shyam, an extremely
talented Indian artist, asking her
to share her artwork followed
by a question-answer round
where students asked Ms. Japani
questions. The artist also talked
about how she is taking this skill as
Dharohar or heritage.
