Dear Students, Faculty, Parents, and Friends of DPSI,

As another vibrant academic year draws to a close, I am filled with immense
pride and anticipation as we present the latest edition of our annual journal,

BEATS. This publication stands as a testament to the intellectual curiosity,

creative spirit, and unwavering dedication that define our IB community.

At its core, BEATS embodies the fundamental principles of the International

Baccalaureate. Within these pages, you will find more than just articles and

artwork—you will discover the outcomes of inquiry-driven learning, where

students have dared to ask meaningful questions and pursued knowledge with

passion and integrity. You will witness the growth of well-rounded individuals

who embody the IB Learner Profile—being inquirers, knowledgeable,

thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers,

balanced, and reflective.
The wide range of contributions in BEATS reflects the interdisciplinary essence

of the IB curriculum. From insightful examinations of global issues to innovative

scientific explorations and moving artistic expressions, each piece showcases

a journey of learning that transcends subject boundaries. This holistic approach

encourages students to make meaningful connections and engage deeply

with the world around them, echoing the IB’s mission to create a more

peaceful and understanding global society.

Guided by their dedicated teachers, our students have collaborated to

research, write, edit, and design this magazine—demonstrating not only their

communication skills but also the collective strength of teamwork and

perseverance.
