PRIMARY SCHOOL
PRINCIPAL
What a year it’s been! From shoes mysteriously being swapped during
physical education lessons to the doe eyed expression when in a ‘fix’,
school has been full of surprises (and giggles). You, my dear students, are
walking bundles of energy, curiosity, who remind me of ‘Hansel and Gretel’
what with snack crumbs strewn inside classrooms.
One of my favourite things about primary school is its pure magic (not the
biscuit variety). Laughter is wholehearted, forgiveness is spontaneous, and
belief is absolute that a hug can fix just about anything. And most of the
time, it works. The best questions and honest confessions play out each day.
“Do schools of fish get homework?” (I think not), “Are school trips about
trekking and not lazing in the pool?" (sorry to disappoint). Students, you
dance like no one’s watching, sing like everyone should be, and proudly
wear your personalities on your sleeves.
Like the Road Runner, you've zipped through another school year - dodging
tricky math problems, leaping over grammar hurdles, and outrunning every
challenge that tried to catch you (sorry, Coyote).
Continue to keep your wits sharp, your sneakers fast, and never stop
learning - no matter how many anvils drop! Off you go into the next year -
smarter, faster, and ready for anything!
This magazine is more than just pages — it is a snapshot of the laughter,
learning, and little moments that make our school so special. To our
teachers and parents: thank you for walking (and sometimes sprinting!)
beside our Road Runners every step of the way. The journey continues - and
with this community, it’s bound to be brilliant.
