Learning From Nature
MYP 2 Ecowalk
As part of their environmental learning journey,
MYP 2 students participated in an EcoWalk at Eco
Corridor. Once littered with garbage, the park has
been transformed into a clean and vibrant green
space thanks to consistent efforts by a local
organization. During their walk, students observed
a rich variety of plant life and even spotted some
rare birds, reflecting the park’s growing biodiversity.
They also explored inclusive features such as
dedicated pathways for visually impaired
individuals and wheelchair users—underscoring the
value of integrity in design and accessibility. The walk
encouraged mindful observation as students took notes
on leaf shapes, bird calls, and natural sounds around
them. The experience fostered a deeper connection to
nature while highlighting the role of honesty,
responsibility, and community collaboration in
preserving public spaces for all.
“I really enjoyed the walk. I learned how ecosystems
adapt and how plant species might behave in
different environments—it was both fascinating and
educational.”
— Ariyanna James
“My experience was truly enjoyable. I learned about
different types of leaves and had a lot of fun
observing rare plants and bird species in their
