Excitement on every face ,we all couldn’t contain,
Bubbling with anticipation we clambered up the bus Memories of
Screaming , shouting our teachers trying to hush us in vain.
Camp days ahead and we are in it together,
Sleeping bags, rucksack, water proof jacket for bad weather.
Did you pack this and that ,chatter chatter chatter.. Tirthan
Murthal we shall stop for a midnight feast ,
Aut shall reach and then Tirthan by 12 at least .
The jeep ride kept our heads stuck out, By Adwika
Airing our hair in blue green mountains with a shout. Swarup (MYP 4D)
Lugging it to our tents ,huffing and puffing,
We rolled up ourselves and our things.
The gurgling river heard us rejoice and called us over,
Rappelling up the cliff was our next endeavour.
The brown trekking path curling around the green cover snug,
The green snow covered Himalayas kissing the clouds giving them a hug.
The air fresh as hair just shampooed,
The fauna of The Great Himalayan National Park had us all so glued.
Sleepy heads climbed the bags wrapped under a diamond studded sky,
Some warm some cold on wooden floor, joy still high.
Morning flower fresh and cold air to breathe,
Workouts we were called out for after brushing our teeth.
Hot chocolate milk ,cookies and then perched on a high rock,
We watched as the gurgling river scurried below us in mock.
The snow capped high green blue mountains yonder,
Made us all think ,mull and ponder.
Nature here so pristine and beckoning,
Crossing the river we all were surely waiting.
Chloie water fall was a heady experience,
Cool mist on our faces, burbling cascade added to the ambience.
Dipping hot feet in cool pools,
Clicking away pictures ,some playing the fool.
World got curtained out here,
As we played with Mother nature.
Crossed our hands for poses galore,
Ah this angle was not so good ..so once more!
Warm with dinner in our belly,
We gathered around the bon fire down in Tirthan Valley.
Crooning ,humming , guitaring we all did join in,
Musing in our head, wondering in our soul within.
Charm of Tirthan was mesmerising,
Asleep in our dreams we all were cheering.
Joining our hand ,clasping and clutching,
We trespassed the brook and walked closer ,
The icy current playfully trying to topple us over.
Drenched to the skin yet ecstatic,
To return to this place enigmatic,
Was a pledge we all made,
As we thanked all before the day fade.
Scurrying birds ,scintillating flowers , green verdure,
Pine trees, acorn ,taxus baccatta, I will come back for sure.
