World Scholars Cup: Regional Round
The spirit of international mindedness and global citizenship was once again encouraged and displayed as
World Scholar's Cup (WSC) returned to DPSI, Gurgaon after a two year hiatus. The Gurgaon Regional Round
took place on April 9-11th and it witnessed an enthusiastic participation from nearly 500 students from around
30 schools joining us from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. "A World Re- Renewed" was the theme
for this year, and after the pandemic the WSC team and scholars surely reinvented their love and excitement for
the event. And it showed in the love and passion with which students participated in all events.
The event started with an opening ceremony, which was entertaining as always and reminiscent of times when
this was a regular event. On the first day, we had collaborative writing, the Scholar’s challenge, non-tradi-
tional multiple choice questions and team debate. The second day is the ultimate Scholar’s bowl, an audio-vi-
sual round. WSC came to a close with a grand closing ceremony which brought tears of joy and celebration
all around. The top two Champion Teams for seniors were both from DPSI Gurgaon and third from Path-
ways World School, Aravali and in juniors, from DPSI Gurgaon, Billabong High International School, Kanpur
