Roots of Rebirth
Awaited Rebellion
Beneath the sky, where shadows creep,
Does a voice need a colour to be heard? A whisper stirs, a dream to keep.
No, it doesn't; it sounds absurd. Tiny seeds, roots that bend,
Black, white, thinner or fatter, Lift the Earth and start again.
It doesn’t really matter. A garden grows from humble hands,
Why do we have to fight for equality? A prayer that whispers through lands.
Don’t we all deserve a life of quality? Dry and cracked the world may seem,
When you know it’s all wrong, A tree, a flower, a world with dreams,
Then why is your rebellion taking so long? Roots take hold, rivers sing—
A garden blooms; a new spirit begins.
