World Dance Day

At DPS International, creative freedom is more than encouraged — it’s

celebrated. The school came alive with rhythm, emotion, and imagination as we

marked World Dance Day, an annual event that honours dance as a powerful

form of expression and storytelling. While the event was held earlier, DPSI

marked World Dance Day — officially observed on April 29th — with a vibrant

celebration of movement and expression. This year’s inter-house competition

featured four diverse categories: Step & Synchro with the theme ‘Dil Se Re’, Tell a

Tale, AdapTune, and an exciting new addition — Dance on Film, centered

around the theme ‘Imagining a Hopeful Future

In this innovative category, Dance on Film, students submitted short

dance films that reflected unique interpretations shaped by their own

perspectives. The event ensured equal opportunity for every house to

present its artistic vision, promoting fairness in both format and

evaluation. The day concluded on a high note with a stunning finale by

our Talented and Gifted (TAG) students, leaving the audience in awe and

applause.
