INTERNATIONAL MOTHER
16. LANGUAGE DAY
International Mother
Language Day was first
announced by UNESCO
on November 17, 1999.
On February 26, 2020,
Secondary School students
of DPSI marked the day at
school to promote linguistic
and cultural diversity.
The programme commenced
with an inter-class quiz
competition which focused
on similarities and differences
in the languages all around
the world and students
participated enthusiastically.
This was followed by a talent.
show in which students
sang melodious songs in
their mother tongue. The
show ended with students
presenting a cultural walk
showcasing different cultural
