          ‘QUARANTINE’ BLOG ENTRY

How to spend your time in quarantine?

The recent quarantine has affected us all and our schedules have gone haywire. It is now quite obvious
to me that the idea of holidays is better than the holidays themselves. I mean online classes and then
a whole lot of nothing to do!! We do have the TV and phone and online games, but even that becomes
boring after a while and gives us a headache.

So I decided to try out the things that I always wanted to, but didn’t have time for. I’ve learnt a bit of
digital art, a few card tricks and drawing. I have even learnt some Japanese watching anime shows. I’m
here to give you some ideas on what to do while you’re waiting for school to start (I never thought I
would even think that, let alone say it).

First of all, the most basic one: Learn a new skill! If you want, learn martial arts on YouTube, or take up
online lessons on art or even learn card tricks! The internet is teeming with courses and these days, a
lot of them are free! So make use of it!

Second: Create a list of movies you want to watch and go through them one at a time. You can do this
with Netflix or any other content provider. You can form groups and share recommendations of popular
as well as informative movies and documentaries. I can to know that the eminent natural historian was
going to that geography lessons on BBC Bitesize!

Third: Continue your hobbies (Though this might be hard for those of you who are like me and had a
sport like basketball as your hobby). It is the perfect time to pick up a new hobby. Look around you.
There will be a lot for stuff which is calling out to you. Recycle, upcycle, give your room a makeover!

So, with this final word, I leave you all to think of what you want to do. Take up something new or continue
what you started but left. Make the most of this time!
                                                                                             Amishi Shrivastava
