It has been a privilege for me to be on the
Managing Committee of this school. Over the
last few years, the school has adapted with
amazing dexterity to the rapidly changing
atmosphere in the wake of the successive
waves of COVID-19. Having managed these
difficult years, the school is now poised to reach
greater heights.
The school has already earned a name for itself
as one of the leading schools of Gurugram. It
has also quickly established itself as a leader in
the highly competitive IB school network in
India. Work is going on to obtain CIS
accreditation, which will further add to the
credentials of the school.

The school has a dedicated team of teachers
and administrative support staff, who are led by
a great team. The Chairman: Mr. Ravi Kumar
Gupta, The Pro Vice Chairperson: Ms. Devyani
Jaipuria, Ms. Aditi Misra: School Director and
last but not least Ms. Rima Singh: Head of
School together make a very formidable and
cohesive team who have helped steer the
school through these difficult years.
It is wonderful that this magazine is brought
out every year. It brings out in a very imaginative
way the joys of learning and teaching and the
amazing spectrum of activities and talents of
the school children.
I look forward to my continued association with
the school and wish the staff and students a
great year ahead!

The academic year 2022-2023 began with the lifting
of Covid-19 protocols and things started looking
more normal at DPSI. As a school and as a
community, we had successfully navigated the
Covid-19 protocols and practices that were imposed
on us by the pandemic. Once the school year began,
the focus was on ensuring a smooth and stress-free
back-to-campus transition for students and staff to
cultivate healthy and caring relationships and instil
agency in the students. The aim was to not only
meet the challenges of our times, but flourish while
doing so. Motivated teachers, with renewed vigour,
came together this year to provide a quality
education to our students as well as to include many
of the experiential and fun things that have been a
part of school life during the pre-Covid years.
The students and staff collaborated to co-create
School Values, which are not explicitly mentioned in
our vision and mission and which we felt are
important considering the challenging pandemic
we have recently faced and the issues we continue
to face in our daily lives. The school community is
now working towards instilling the newly coined
core school values, Fairness, Integrity, Resilience,
Empathy, by embedding them into teaching and
learning practices and in day to day lives. Another
focus has been on promoting diversity, equity and
inclusion and alongside our community, we are also
working to raise awareness and promote sustainable
practices. We recognize there is still work to do to
ensure we are living up to these values. It is our hope
that, in partnership with parents, caregivers, and
community members, we can inspire children to be
critical thinkers; creative problem-solvers; lifelong
learners; active community members; and positive,
happy people. Lofty goals, but important ones!
The current issue of BEATS proudly documents
events and achievements and displays snapshots of
the jubilant moments of the year gone by. I
congratulate the editorial team for weaving together
this marvellous representation of expressions.
I also take this opportunity to thank our patron, Ms.
Devyani Jaipuria, the Managing Committee led by
the Chairman, Mr Ravi Vira Gupta and our School
Director Ms Aditi Misra, for their unwavering support
and visionary guidance that has continuously
enabled us to soar higher with each passing year. I
also acknowledge the role of each and every
member of our academic and administration staff
who are ably led by their heads. Last but not the
least, my heartfelt thanks to the parents for their
support and commitment to our school’s vision and
mission.
