The four main activities conducted
by the hosts, Youreka, were
Rappelling, Terra- Terra, Compass
Navigation and the Friendship
Ladder. All the activities happened
over the course of two days. The
Friendship Ladder was a special
activity aimed at developing the
bonds among people. During
Compass Navigation, students
were split up into groups of 4-
5. This trekking and navigation
journey’s endpoint was a temple
in the mountains. Terra Terra is
one of the various names for the
more commonly known Zipline or
Flying Fox, where individuals are
hooked on to a rope that connects
to points and pushed towards
the destination. Rappelling is an
exercise where one treks to a
mountain top and then, with the
support of a rope and a trained
instructor.
Sitlakhet was a camp that offered
something for everyone. Life
lessons such as tolerance were
developed while important social
Friendship Forged Forever. skills were strengthened.
